I'm over at Ancestry right now and noticed someone researching Robs family. Catching my interest, I checked their profile and found out that they're also researching the Laronde family.

Ahem...
I just wanted to put this out for all of you with the public display on Facebook.

The good news - It looks like Rory [aka Kiddo] will be doing his apprenticeship in welding.  Starting last month his application was approved into OYAP [Ontario youth apprenticeship program] and now all his co-op hours last semester at high school will be tallied towards his ticket.  Starting next month it looks like he will be hired by the company he did his co-op placement with and these work hours will count towards his ticket too.  Starting in September he will be starting the 3 year Apprenticeship program at Conestoga College, guaranteed placement due to OYAP, subsidized tuition for the same reason.  All this has been a huge buzz of happy for us all...

The happy/sad news for me - the kids have decided it is time to move out and get their own place.  They are planning the move for this summer, there will be much saving of funds to add to what they already have, but once the probation period is over at his work place, they are looking at preparing to find their own place.

I am happy they are on the verge of moving on into their own lives as independent adults...
I am sad because this means dealing with the empty nest feelings...
I am happy they are willing to leave Phoenix here with me for company...
I am sad that they feel the need to leave her with me...

This is not the end of the world... just the end of an era for me and it's challenging.

How many of these have I now tested and thrown away. I like it though. Seems simple enough to use. I do miss the privacy settings but I have chosen an alia name without photo.
That should be enough to keep me out of trouble.
